Events for Security Sales

We all know virtual event suck and don't really lead to net new opps. What are some events you have seen success from? Any upcoming in person events that you are planning to attend.


I work for a small start up in Cyber Security Sales. No real brand yet, virtual events don't work. Want to get in front of people and have real conversations.

RSA, Red Hat, and AWS conferences are normally always good. Normally drum up a ton of demand from them when they happen live.

Any geo based ones you have seen success in? i.e secureworks, futurecon, data connectors etc?

I’ve never been to those, so can’t say for sure. The big ones draw a TON of prospects so if you are starting out it’s probably a good networking opp since all the partners are there too. If you can share, what is the product?

product is around zero trust network access. Secure connectivity to apps, files, databases for employees outside the trusted network.

Pretty intense non-compete clause plus I got a significantly better offer at a similar company, just slightly different space

I would say unfortunally there are not many in person events going on right now, your best bet is still the virtual ones.

We have had some success driving people to tasting events we host where we either send them a bottle of wine or whiskey and do a company center initial pitch and then let them as peers interact and keep the conversation going
