Expense Reports

How often are we supposed to create and submit an Expense Report these days.

I used to submit them every business trip, but now take a trip once every 6 months if lucky. We get small internet reimbursement and small phone allowance, its not worth the headache to submit this monthly, but we time out after 70 days and have to submit.

Should companies be more lax on this shit now? How about 6 months or yearly on small reimbursements?

How Often do you have to create a report to get reimbursed???

Ask for a corp card, then just give receipts with notes. Easier.

OR

Dedicate a credit card to ONLY work expenses, then when they send the bill, you can just write on the bill. Send them it. It's itemized etc, and have receipts to match.ย

I miss travel. It's been 13 months since I've been on a plane.ย

i like the points and have the dedicated card, but seems unncessary to submit these 25-50 dollar reports that are timing out

I have always had a credit card purely for work related expenses and normally got one that gives me air miles or something when I spend on it.ย

I can pay the minimum of expenses are delayed and then clear it when they finally pay them.ย

Means I can get a little extra for myself too.ย

I like when companies cut a physical check whenever you submit no matter the amount. I know that's a huge headache for accounting but I don't fucking care, that's their job.

Companies canโ€™t be more lax on this. They need your expense report they can run their books. If they didnโ€™t want them monthly to do their books Iโ€™d actually be worried.ย

We get an internet and cell stipend yet have to send in the bills every month. Drives me insane to download, upload and itemize the exact same items every month. Gotta be a better way.ย

there really does, like here is the money for your internet and phone, youre welcome, no receipt needed.ย

I worked at a company that gave a $400 car credit every month, nothing needed, it was just in your account, i miss thatย

That sounds amazing. I wonder how much they saved by not reviewing paperworkย

You are given an account list with over 250 accounts (no salesforce, you have to work off an excel sheet), what steps/processes do you implement to ensure all accounts are being touched? How many do you target a week? Month? Etc.
