Fair to Ask To See a Dashboard to Confirm % of Reps at Quota?

Is it fair to ask a potential employer to share a dashboard to confirm a statement of the % of reps at quota or is it best to just do some back channeling and get a rep to tell it as it is?


It's almost laughable the numbers that are thrown out by recruiters and leaders during interview processes. I feel like I typically have to take the number given and cut it in half.

I think just like we lie sometimes in our resumes, they lie about numbers too.
They might never show the dashboard to you, for sure.

Just be super specific. I doubt theyโ€™ll send you screenshots of internal dashboards. Ask how many people are in the team youโ€™re joining. Of those, how many hit quota Q2 and Q1. Be wary of irrelevant and flawed data though. For my current role I was told 95% of the team hit quota last year. While true, they then doubled headcount this year and increased quota 40-50% so now itโ€™s 80% missing. Similar story when I asked for attainment of the top performer and was told 200-300%. The manager neglected to mention that person was looking after 4 vacant territories plus their own.
