Favorite questions to ask during an AE interview

As an Sdr current interviewing for AE roles, I am curious what are some must ask questions when speaking to hiring & sales managers.

I'd go with "Is it frowned upon when someone posts in the war room but doesn't engage with any of the responses?"

That's very fair - sorry about that. From everything posted I found - do you have any hesitations about hiring me for this position? - What's the training/ramp plan for new AEs? and other questions from this link " https://bravado.co/war-room/posts/questions-to-ask-during-interview-at-saas-startups-thread " to be quite helpful. Thank you everyone for posting them.

I have 3 questions I always ask. One in the begging, 2 at the end.

I  start off all interviews with an upfront contract type of question after the chit chat. Something like - you've seen people do well here and as a (smb ae comming from SDR) what kind of qualities are you looking for in this next hire to see if this would be a mutual good fit? The goal here is to establish his/her criteria for success then I know how to position myself through out the remainder of the interview to show (not tell) how I am that person. Then I use that back on the interviewer towards the end, quickly bringing up their answer from the begging and reiterating the main points after saying that "I couldn't help but notice resonating that .." i'm all these things which you are looking for and here's why- depending on the situation you can even try to seal the deal and say - don't you agree? if they say yes quickly say 'Okay then I'll take it':) this makes them laugh and love you at the same time - green light! even if you don't do this should be positive by this point and they most of the time tell me they want me to speak the next guy.

My second must ask question is for them to tell me all they can about the next person i'm going to speak (who are they as a person outside of work, what are they like.. hobbies, personality ect.) more personal the better. So I can start off the interview with some good rapport.

If the connection isn't super strong and I don't get a sure feeling, I will have to have to ask "if they have any questions or hesitations about moving me forward (so I can address them)."

But also don’t forget to think of questions yourself. Of course it’s great to ask good questions to put yourself in the picture. But what is import for you! What kind of things do you need to excel in that position.

Always close the interview! Can ask something along the lines of, do you have any hesitations about hiring me for this position?

They'll tell you if they have any worries & you'll have the chance to address them right then and there.

- What type of AE role is this? (full cycle or being fed deals)
- How many AE's hit quota?
- How much support do the SDR's get who report to me?
- How large is my team?
- Do we have sales enablement?

Few I can think of top of mind.
