That is a great series.   Those drivers are the elite of the elite, and yet there are such differences between all of them.  Have you seen a race in person yet?  I haven't, but I'll be considering it once things open.

For several reasons… it’s a dramatic, exciting sport unlike any other that operates at the peak of competition. There’s only 20 drivers / professional athletes in the whole league.

I even love how seemingly unfair it can be where driver skill alone won’t do much for you without a great team behind you to give you a great car.

I love how your teammate is actually one of you greatest rivals since they are the only other person using the same equipment to gauge race pace…

I love how Lewis Hamilton has been such a dominating force for so long that any other outcome than him winning the race makes for a good show and how exciting it is that Merc aren’t leading the championship for once.

I meant why RB, but a good description for why F1! I've been in love with the sport for a decade now and I am a Merc fan through and through. The lads at McLaren are my #2 because of their tenacity as a race organization and the two drivers are absolute rockets. The McLaren and Ferrari battle for the rest of the season should be spicy.

Oh, my bad. I love Red Bull quite simply because they’re in the best position to challenge Merc. I’m also a big fan of the drivers that have come up with Red Bull: Max, Rick, Seb… I like their B-team as well with Gasly (even though his time in the RB A-team wasn’t great).

I like how Max is maturing as a driver and Sergio has been big on my radar ever since his 1st place win last year with Racing Point.

Mclaren is also my #2 for similar reasons to what you listed. You can’t not like Ricciardo even though he’s currently struggling and Lando is killing it this season.

Hockey and baseball.   Hockey is exciting, fast, and is a great team sport that requires incredible skill and is really entertaining to watch.

Baseball was my first love, and it's the perfect summer sport with the slower pace, outdoor setting, and more relaxed atmosphere.  It can also be listened to on the radio while you're doing chores, because unless it's a playoff game, it doesn't generally require complete attention to enjoy.

Rugby - I know that there isn't a huge fanbase in North America but they do have Major League Rugby which is getting more exciting by the season. There is one Canadian team (Toronto Arrows) and the rest are all American. Tough sport and there is nothing better than a cold beer after a full game!

Just seeing this now - technically American football evolved from rugby so there are a few similarities. I would say that they are very different at this point just in the way that the ball moves and how play is more fluid rather than stopping every time a tackle is made
