Yesterday there was a discussion about Downvoting and Bans. I wanted to float an idea that if it generated enough interest might solve some of these problems and we can get added to the WR.
At the bottom of each public facing post, there's a similar posts section. This means that there's functionality already built into Bravado to search for relevant topics. My suggestion is to have this automatically pop up to the right of the Create A Post box while you are in the process of creating your post (based on the Subject Line content). If this is not possible, then add a step to creating a post where you can either click a button to automatically search OR land on a screen that shows similar posts with a "are you sure you want to post this" type button (obviously with a better name).
Won't solve all problems (i.e. shitposting, commission farming), but it will at the very least force a baseline search before posting so that we have limited duplicate content.
