Hey all, I recently joined an anonymous online sales forum. After being berated by the "cool kids" I am now feeling blue. Any tips and tricks as to how to smile through the pain while conducting a series of follow ups before the days end?

Whats up, that last post definitely got off on the wrong foot so let me be the first to actually welcome you to the War Room.

Some context - we have had a few bad apples over the last few months post a ton of spam so some frustration was definitely taken out on that thread. Every time a bulk upload of new members are let in, we also get a flood of duplicate posts (not saying yours was in particular).

In the future, some topics I would avoid are music, sales movies, sales books, and email stuff. We have had a ton of really good threads on those, happy to provide some links if any are interesting to you.

Anything else is fair game, just use the search bar first to make sure it's not a duplicate. I would just say the posts that tend to do well here are either super random (and honestly it is hit or miss) or genuine questions or advice.

I'd treat this forum (If that's what you can call it) like you treat your mates but in a none insultive way. 

I've learned a lot of tips n tricks and I am sure people reading this would agree. 

Just carry on as you are, you're in sales, change how you see fit.

I mean it depends on industry but those two can cover each other’s ass rather effectively. Some other options I guess would be seamless.ai. A real unknown one that I use that is CLUTCH is Aidentified.

I would be happy to share the most effective sourcing techniques if they would share the following information with me; what is your ICP, what tools do you have to leverage, what is your target company size, what is your averages deal size? For good measure please add 2-3 additional pains you or your SDR's feel on a day to day circumstance.

Dude our SF is so jacked up. I came from a company where we had rights to do simple tasks, aka merge duplicate accounts, and now I have to put in a request, wait for a manager to approve it (he never does) and then wait another 24 hour refresh after admin gets the approval.

I need to go lay down. 🤦‍♀️

Oh, I'm sincerely prepared to offer advice, I help a lot of different companies in different industries and verticles. There are always creative sourcing workarounds regardless of obstacles whether they be traditional or ornate.

-We are a HubSpot shop.
-Leverage ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Nav, Apollo.io
-We don't have SDRs, yet. I do all of the SDR work for my AEs (beyond our Inbound flows). Obviously that means I spend a fraction of the time on it among all of my other sales strategy duties.
-Data is fairly clean because we audit it regularly with different enrichment tools.
-ICP is IT teams in 100-500 person tech companies in English-speaking countries (or anyone that doesn't mind we don't translate natively)

@CuriousFox what level of SF access do you have? I'm sure that you will be able to find a field that won't impact other teams day to day. I suggest using a universal tag to mark a duplicate... ie. Type = NA for the duplicate account that you will not be utilizing. Then filter out by: Type does not = NA. At least you won't see those duplicates over and over again and ensure you are only conducting outreach to 1 of the duplicates.
