Remote work just eliminates the fake busy tasks like scrolling on LinkedIn “researching” clients and stopping by people’s desk to ask them a “question”

I do about an hour of work in the office as well. The other 7 are filled with shooting the shit with people who won't leave me alone.

I work from my laptop, wherever I am at the moment. When I untethered from my desk my happiness increased immeasurably.

Yeah, my infrequent trips to the office were definitely mostly networking.

I get a lot done remotely. Like, a lot. I can focus, I can dedicate time to things that need a lot of concentration.

The bullshit advertisements at the bottom of the page, not to mention the lack of being published in a credible journal, much less the absolute zero lack of references or data of any kind.... Yeah, all that kind of gave it away as to how it is a fake article.

I believe that WFH for most is like being in heaven compared to WFO,that's why I guess that this propaganda will tend to fail!

Shamefully, I have experienced being an intern 40 hours at an office, but very little.

WFH works great for AEs. Entry-level SDRs will learn in the office, but as a busy AE, time is a scarce resource, and you will see your time diminish with meetings overflow, lunch overflow, networking overflow, and many more thieves. Years ago I worked for a company whose main HQ was in a different zip code, and when they flew us reps there, we were shocked to realize how much time was lost by that office due to the overflow of each activity. Added to that, some lazy marketing employees would squeeze even more idle time and have practically created for themselves a 4-day work week with 5 days of attendance. Office culture varies and even companies like E&Y or PWC have locations with a prestigious reputation due to their increased efficiency.

I know close friends and colleagues grinding on-site for departments like compliance, legal, and purchasing where calendar management is a skill and on-site works best for everyone for collaboration and security. Good for them really, but not my cup of tea and not looking for a career change.

There will always be slackers. Doesn’t matter if you work in an office or not. Personally, I work all the time as a WFH person. I can’t shut it off! That’s just me. No one is fooling anyone moving their mouse around. In this employment environment with layoffs and PIPs a plenty.. it’s probably not wise to try to game the system.
