After a year and a bit of working through the problems which come along with Covid and a horrible old school manager, I finally had a win and wanted to share it.
We have just hired two new people, one a fresh BDE as well as a new manager who is completely aligned with me. I have been through absolute shit with my current boss who mentally put me through hell and really stunted my progression.
Went for lunch with the new manager (who is kind of the same level as me but just has more authority) and out the blue he said 'It actually annoys me that you've been here a while now and you're experienced yet the company has hired two new people but haven't changed your title OR given you a pay rise...I'm going to sort that out for you'
From just a week of the new manager being there, I'm getting a pay rise and new job title...turns out a year of torture needed a fresh input to change everything.
Unsure if this is something to post on here but I wanted to say it anyway and also to see if others have had recent, similar wins!
