Finding SDR/BDR candidates

We're looking to hire for a "hunter" role to open more deals for us. Basically an SDR/BDR doing some combo of cold email, calls & other creative outreach to book appointments. Having a hell of a time finding good candidates to apply, though.

Are there any good "nichey" job posting sites (outside of Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.) specifically for sales jobs out there?

SDRs are hard to find right now, they're just so in demand. My last company posted on several job boards, advertised in The SDR Newsletter, hired an agency, and posted a ton on LinkedIn. And they still only found a few qualified people. Prepare to pay ๐Ÿ’ฐย ย

It's hard. 3rd party firms and LinkedIn have been my saving grace for finding BDRs

Breakline is the best. absolute best candidates i've seen that turned into immediate rockstars. can be expensive but definitely worth it.ย

Hiring BDR/SDR can be really difficult...you'll get a ton of applicants, but a very small percentage of them will actually be qualified to do the job and make it through the interview process. What makes it more difficult is if there's no upward career trajectory - most people don't want to be a BDR/SDR for years, so if there's no chance they'll become an AE or move on to a more senior role the quality of candidates will definitely decrease. If you do offer advancement be sure to state that in the ad.

Word of mouth has given my company our best SDRs/BDRs, get a referral program started for existing employees and encourage them to reach out to people in their network who would be a good fit for the opportunity. A referral from an employee you trust is going to be a way better quality candidate than random stranger applying on the internet.ย

I don't know of any niche job boards, Indeed is what most people in my city use to job hunt. Just have a solid ad, outlining who your company is, what the role entails, and what's in it for the successful applicant and have a very good screening process to eliminate time wasters. LinkedIn can be a good resource as well.ย

Thanks, some good tips here. Already made some changes to our job listing. Our hiring manager also recommended the referral program, thanks for the +1 on that.

Join the club, friend. I have been hunting for an SDR for 3 months with less than a half-dozen applicants. The two I really liked got offers from the big boys (SFDC, Gong, Oracle) for quite a bit more base than we were willing to give (pre-A startup).

This is so tough right now.ย  Everyone is hiring.

And paying way more than your CFO will pay for top tier talent.

Time to prove how good you are at onboarding, training, and developing top talent.

Not sure if you found them, but I'd look at partnering with something like aspireship or a training company if you can't source yourself.

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
Colleges literally just graduated millions of people. Look there and train somebody hungry up.

We just hired a round of AEs, AngelList was the only place that performed....ย  dunno if that helps for SDRs
