First movie in a theater?

I was 5 years old. It was Eid. My innocent, immigrant parents took me to see "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" because I led them to think it was a kids movie. It was awesome.

Same!  My Great Aunt took my brothers and me.  I think I was running around the theater half the time.

2nd! At least the first I have clear memory of seeing in the theatre. I was still young enough though that all the noise and sheer size of the screen was truly overwhelming.

It was also the first time my dad let me go into a bathroom by myself.  He got distracted by the smell of hot buttery popcorn and walked away for a brief moment.

I came out of the bathroom during that brief moment.  Lost my dad apparently, went back into the theatre and couldn't remember where we sat.

I then walked row to row down the aisle saying "hey is my dad over there".

Thinking back on it, I'm surprised how calm and collected I was during that experience.

Haha yeah, that does seem like a pretty collected way to approach that problem, go row by row until one of them has Dad in it.

The Neverending Story. The scene with the monster / wolf gave nightmares for years.

That scene with the horse in the mud is seriously upsetting, even as an adult

Our first family dog for my kids was a rescue that looked like Falcor mated with an Ewok

Free Willy. And an obese lady in the front row cried for most of the movie.
