First Sales Role Starts Tomorrow...

I am working in Ticket Sales for an NBA team, and like the title suggests, I begin tomorrow.

Just looking for any advice, help, tips that seasoned sales professionals can/would share with a newbie like me!

Thanks in advance, can't wait to start the process

First off welcome to the world of sales! As someone who worked in the ticketing industry previously, I've got some pieces of advice that hopefully will help you.
1. Be a sponge: asks tons of questions to not only your managers/directors, but other AE's in different departments as well.
2: Don't be afraid to fail, not everyone will buy but keep chugging along until you find someone that will buy/come down for an in-person tour.
3: Hustle: more calls/emails you make, the more opportunities you'll have, and the better you'll get as you perfect your craft/pitch.
4: Balance: sports can be a lot of hours, so find ways to unplug and avoid burnout (coming from someone who got burnt out a couple of times).
5: Enjoy it! Sales is a grind but also a ton of fun, and selling sports is a fun journey within itself. Enjoy the fact you're in the sports industry and selling a fun product.
