Had to sell these like coupon books for Football fundraising every year in Highschool. $20 for 20 coupons.

Yup same here, baseball though. Worked my ass off to make money for the program and got a lanyard in return. Learned early.

Those coupon books had one or two good coupons and the rest were shitty.

Golf balls. Lived across the street from a golf course, found a million in the woods clean em up and sling em to everyone that was empty by the 6th hole.

Definitely the school contests where you go door to door in the neighborhood trying to get your neighbors to buy from the catalog.
My first taxed sales job was selling product for a company at farmers markets.

Ziploc bags full of Cheez-Its door to door to my neighbors. Also, "raffle tickets" for the world's lamest raffle with junk from my house. I was such a little scammer as a kid.

Sold shit from a catalogue door to door on a bicyle. Got top 5 in my school even though everyone else in the top 10 either had their parents spend money or drive them around to houses.

Taught me early on that you can't rely on marketing to give you leads.

Selling vitamins at GNC was my first hustle, I got commissions by selling certain products or upselling to the larger size. Got a few hundred dollars a month on top of the hourly, so that was pretty good!

Popcorn door2door for cub scouts. Honestly was one of the toughest sales because it was overpriced and everyone was already tapped out after buying Girl Scout cookies.

Girl. Scout. Cookies. A smile and a little persuasion. Gluten free, Vegan, flavorless, no problem we have cookies for that!

Lemonade and Candy… I gave away the lemonade for free to sell candy. The candy was heavily marked up similar to SaaS. Sometimes even 80% margins when you factored in my mom driving. We used a consumption model and delivery via bikes. Niche down in our neighborhood. It was a great business model in middle school. Sort of like SaaS and Data.

Might have been lemonade or ice tea stand type deal or maybe I’m confusing my childhood with what tv tells me growing up is supposed to be like… No way to be sure…

Candy bars as a kid, then boosters for my baseball team. Then probably mowing lawns and landscaping around neighborhood. Fast forward to college started a swimming pool service company so I could make enough for rent and classes. Sold that company to a competitor in the area…should have stuck with it longer tbh
