Going to Austin tomorrow morning for the first time, only time I have been to the USA was New York in 2020

Do you have any must do's for Austin or Texas? Will be there for 5 days

Check out at least one of these BBQ spots:
Slab BBQ
Terry Blacks
La Barbeque (recently got a Michelin star)
Franklin's (have to get there very early in the morning)
Salt Lick (bit of a drive outside of austin, but worth it)

I don't live there, but I have been MANY times. Here's just a few things I like:
* Bats at the bridge at dusk (Congress St)
* 6th Street bars and music - there's something every night of the week, but the weekends rock
* If you're a runner then the river path on both sides of the Colorado river are great
* If you're on foot - Coopers BBQ on Congress is great. Or Black's which is south of there but a little farther away.
* If you're lucky, the Spazmatics will be playing on a Wednesday night at the Speakeasy (also on Congress). They are my favorite "party" band

BBQ... TexMex Chuys... (and soo many other choices) ... and live music! Enjoy and stay safe. ** If you are a history person, University of Texas hosts LBJ's Presidential Library which includes a 9/10s scale of the oval office... and it is free. Enjoy.

Dr Lamby Von Corn! I’ve never been to Austin. But, I would definitely not go to Palazio Gentlemen’s Club.
