Fkn hell. NO ONE picks up my calls.

I've changed numbers, called before houre, after hours, double called.


50-100 people a day. I'm lucky if 2 people pick up the phone.


Wtf is this. I can't even get good at cold calling cos no one answers.


Numbers are trash, people are trash, gatekeepers are trash.


Should I focus more on LinkedIn and email??

One of the industries I've never been in. I've heard it's tough though. Surprising you can't get people on the phone though. One would think getting in touch with non-profits would be pretty easy.

Prospecting builds resilience. Make a game out of it. If you want to get practice, call vendor managers and procurementโ€ฆ

Sometimes you can sweet talk your way with them to pass you along. Those people pick up more because theyโ€™re working on buyingโ€ฆ

But yeah, cold calling blows, thatโ€™s why you have to not think about volume, just your little winsโ€ฆ

Iโ€™m a little more team โ€œcold-calling is deadโ€ than not when it comes to booking meetings, you see all these influencers on Linkedin saying how they booked three meetings from calls before their morning coffee and its bullshit. answer right across my team is consistently in the 1-2% even with using tools to make sure its the correct number.

Best bet is just leaving voicemails saying โ€œhey its __ just sent over a note titled __ check it out when you have a sec and let me know if u have any questions or want to connect for a coffee and chat on meโ€

Focus on both. If people are really not answering the phone you can make 100 calls in an hour and 15 minutes. Add another half hour if you leave voicemails. Then you have the entire rest of the day to additionally focus on linked and email.

Yeah, I went through that for a few days last week, pretty weak, and now everyone that is rude is picking up and getting nos left and right. Feels good to talk to people hahahah
