Nice! What show?

I've not got any scheduled travel until Oct and I really hope it stays that way as Toronto airport is currently the worst airport in the world. I really hope they get their shit together before I have to fly out.

Farnborough. Flew LHR direct from west side of Canada.

We didn't pick up any F-35s although the demo was amazing.

The Turks are really pushing their drone tech.

I am android gang too - usually have two phones for work... waiting on my new 13 to arrive and get tuned by IT.

Once we get DMs on the androids I'll dox myself for ya.

Travel schedule is pretty heavy for me for the remainder of the year - one of these days we will cross paths in the lounge.

Was Farnborough a good show? Its been on my wishlist for a few years now.

Without saying too much, a large part of our business is building components that support companies making munitions and droppables. The air shows are always hit and miss on if our true customers will be there or only end users that we don't sell to directly.

It was mostly end user mil folks and airlines. All the big missile folks were there. Huge Raytheon pavilion. Might have opportunity to do supplier talks.
Def hitting up Paris next year. One meeting paid for entire trip 10x over.

I do. Being a fellow Canadian, you probably know the constraints of this oversized land. Also not living in a hub like YYZ/YVR/YYC doesnt help, a trip to the US is generally 4 flights minimum hence it racks up so much.

Oh yea I definitely get that. Thankfully I'm right by YYZ, but if you're not it complicates things significantly.

I used to fly to the midwest all the time, and even from here there was always at least one stop.

I get by with two kids and a wife... It's tough sometimes. But I've been on the road for a few weeks now. Looking forward to using ally points to take the fam somewhere nice every year.

I sure do, its nice to have some personal travel flexibility from it. Also, whether its a good thing or not i dont know but when you fly that much, if you are loyal, airlines do go out of their way to look after you.

It does, feel very unhealthy and exhausted, ready for a vacation tbh.

Rest of the year should hopefully chill out a bit though, going to be going with more structure and wont be on the road every single week going forward.

Very hard to do what I do on zoom. Most people I sell to are dealing with unscheduled meetings and often not behind a desk, plus it's just an industry thing to meet in person so trying to tie down for zoom is nigh on impossible when your competition is there face to face.

I sold mostly face to face prepandemic so it's nothing new to me, just a bigger volume of travel
