For Hiring Managers - Favorite sales recruiting agency

War Room,

Im growing my team like crazy right now and our recruiting team is bringing me candidates that are less then ideal to say the least. My head of sales has used Sales Talent Agency in the past but they dont have a team large enough to take on our project right now, so I'm looking for recommendations on who you have employed in the past to bring fellow savages into your org.

Edit:

Appreciate the feedback from everyone. Yes we are hiring ourselves and using internal channels but we have aggressive headcount goals that we need to hit quickly and are planning to use an agency as a supplemental resource here.

We have also had success using a particular agency in the past but they do not have the bandwidth to take on our current project which is why I came here to source ideas.

Do you pay employees for referrals?

I've never been lucky with agencies at entry level really. I did get good service from Randstad and Aerotek for a mid to large size team (around 100 reps). Not sure how good or bad they are right now, but a few years ago they helped.

When I was managing SDRs we worked with Betts for a while. It was good for a while, but then they switched a few people around on us and the quality declined.

I'd look into other channels as well, advertise in newsletters, in sales communities, forums, and other places like that.

Thanks! We are doing all of the other stuff you have outlined as well but will double down!

Hire yourself. I know that’s the opposite of what you asked but an agency can’t do anything you can’t do and they get filled to fill seats. Carve out some time, start interviewing and get the people you want. Good luck.

This is non-scalable in the long-term and might not be OPs strongsuit.

I don't think hiring a hiring agency is the best move either. Besides time, what value do they bring? Could you not hire one person to interview 40 people a day? That's five interviews per hour. Surely their salary is less expensive than whatever trail or fee a hiring agency is going to charge.

Hiring in-house is a long-term strategy that I would support, but taking that responsibility on yourself is something that will create debt in other areas.

Ya I hear where you are coming from, but I dont have the time to do that currently. I spent a few hours interviewing a day right now and need to be able to manage and push my team as well. I just need a shot in the arm with candidate flow right now which is why we are looking at an agency. This is not a long term plan, just a supplemental source for talent.

I know this isn't an answer for your questions but I'd take that money and instead offer crazy referral bonuses to your rank and file. I really just haven't encountered any good recruiting agencies at scale.

Im not looking for a long term hiring solution here, we have our internal channels to do that. We need a supplemental resource to bring in additional headcount asap which is why we are looking at the agency option.
