For the Salespeople who have to call salesleaders what are these conversations like?

I'm curious to hear what people from companies like Hubspot, Salesloft, Sales Force, Zoominfo, etc that are selling CRMS or databases to sales organizations what is it like selling to someone who is probably an excellent salesmen. Do you find these people give you more time on the phone or less time because they know what they want?

I would prefer to call salesleader

Honestly, selling to salespeople is amazing.ย

There is no bullshit, they're more honest, they know why I'm asking the questions I'm asking, etc.ย

It's a wonderful experience compared to selling some things I've sold in the past.ย

I will say, email reply rates are lower for me on average, though.

When I used to sell to Sales Leaders, it was pretty common to hear how they appreciated your hustle or follow up. I also can remember many occasions where a sales leader asked to steal my messaging for his/her team. I miss selling to sales leaders a little bit because of that.ย

I will always prefer to meeting with the sales leader. There's an unspoken mutual respect there and it helps to get deals done faster.

selling to salespeople is so much easier. I sell to BD and CMs on the federal contractor side and I will have 5x the meetings than on the non-sales side, if not more. they understand what we are trying to do and if you have a good pitch and value prop, they will at least respond, even if they are not interested.ย

They give you less time on the phone with cold calls. You have to have the relevant pains you solve for lined up at the start. If you nail the opener then they're more willing to make a quick purchasing decision and guide you through the closing process. But you have to be sharp on the intro.ย

How many times will you call a prospect after they don't answer the first time? At what frequency? I typically don't make a lot of repeat calls, just call with volume consistently and try to catch folks at the right time...
