A former AE of mine is on this current season of The Bachelorette, and it was pretty fun to see him on primetime ABC last night. He's a great dude and I don't worry about his behavior or anything, but I've always thought about this.
A ton of people make fools out of themselves on reality TV while still having a job on hold back home. How were they treated when they got back? Were customers/clients aware of their TV stint and did their view of them or their company change?
Have any of you ever dealt with a pseudo-celebrity in a professional setting and if so, how did your previous knowledge of them influence your approach and experience?
Just seems like an interesting thing to choose to do when there's rarely an upside besides free clout and your entire reputation could be at risk.
