Free Stuff Thread

Just to clear the air, this is NOT a post about sending free stuff to customers. Savages have over-posted on that topic already.

What I want to start a thread on is what free stuff is out there that's easy to get for us sales folks.. I'll start with 3 of my favorites.

(1) Bing search rewards. Yes, Bing sucks, but the free Amazon or Starbucks gift cards you accumulate are worth it.

(2) G2 Reviews. Every once in a while I get an email from G2 saying they'll pay $10 per review, it's a great way to stack up those gift cards again, literally takes a minute or two.

(3) Verkada Yeti webinar. Not saying anything about the product, but if you sit through a webinar they'll send you a Yeti (worth 45 minutes of my time while multi-tasking for sure).

What would you add to the list?

If you have a personal AMEX and then get a Company Amex...ย  ย Spend the $90 to transfer all points over to your Personal Account...ย  ย I've booked family vacations based on these points alone.

Good call. I should also add that taking advantage of any hotel rewards for corporate trips is a no brainer. Add your loyalty number to that reservation people!

Additionally, use the same hotel/airline rewards for a while and then status match once you've hit a good point. Don't try to build up status at two at the same time (unless you're on the road 3-4 days a week, then you can just get top tier status everywhere)

Nice looking out, going to add te Commission Exchange here. Pretty crazy that for 500 points you can get a $50 giftcard. Means each commission point is around $0.10!

Hmm when you put it that way... that's super good! 10 cents a point!

I saw the Verkada thing but I wasnโ€™t sure I would qualify. Did you have any difficulty with this?

Anyone should be able to get the Verkada Yeti. I used to rep them at an old company and every attendee I ever got to attend got one (including those who weren't DMs but mamma needed them attendance numbers!).

Yes. The website says this:

"Due to abuse, we cannot provide promotional items to individuals who register with yahoo, gmail, hotmail, and other email domains not registered to your company. If you have questions, chat with us or email..."

I didn't have any difficulty and I've had multiple friends from various companies get it as well.

I donโ€™t know any of these. Are these US based perks?

Bing should apply anywhere, but the other 2 may be US based. You'll have to check and report back to us if they work where you live.ย

If you own the account, YOU get to decide who attends meetings with the prospect. As far as I am concerned, besides your main presales teammate, no one else should be involved once the RFP is completed. Take control and show that you are the QB delegating specific pieces to specific people, then retake that control during the next "play"

There is 1 person That should be the responsible one. The one taking ownership.
