From BDR to ISR back to BDR/SDR

For those that have been following my journey (because I am the WR influencer... jk) you know I have been searching for a new role/company to join.

I started out as a BDR and got promoted aka lateral move to an ISR (which I though was comparable to an AE) in about 13 months, and now I am going to another company but starting back as a BDR/SDR.

Also switched from selling physical products to software which will be a lot better in my opinion.

While my career move was not as linear as I had hoped, I believe its still a good move.

My salary/OTE will be about the same but it will be uncapped.

Eventually, I'll get back to the AE status making all the doh $$$

Man as long as you're happy and healthy, that's what really matters. Who cares if you're making an extra couple bucks if you don't have happiness or good health?

Yea its true man, i get to be remote which saves me $40 a week on gas and 1.5 hours of driving.

Switching to remote saved me 1.5 hr / DAY of driving. I can confidently say that I would be willing to earn less to commute less after this experience. Wasting that much of your life in a car in traffic is just miserable.

Congratulations! Sounds like you got a nice deal going. Don't worry about the title. You're headed for a new industry, and your flexibility in taking on a role you've done already is honestly quite normal. Remote is great too; the savings in time and money for a commute cannot be overstated.
