Get mad or get even?

This is insanely petty, but the milk hath spilled...

SDR. We ran a promo last quarter where we sent swag to people who took meetings.

However, went so well that one of my colleagues decided to continue the promo after we ran out of swag. As in has been promising free stuff that will never arrive.

To each their own, until he started prospecting in my territory because he got lazy to find new people in his.....

I called him out after he "accidentally" booked 5x meetings in my territory, & instead of owning it he played FES(that 70s show reference).

Fast forward to today. He copied my post using one of the AEs LinkedIns he uses(he uses them when he runs out of connects). This is the second time he's done this, I've already blocked his accounts.

I called him out & he tried to play dumb. I blocked every LinkedIn he has access to.

I've been trying to breathe and be all zen about this but I'm mad(10x more mad because he won't own his actions)...what should I do that doesn't involve whining to my manager or getting his accounts kicked off LinkedIn? Is he doing this on purpose & I'm playing into it?

Violence, and lots of it. That is the answer. Behead him and keep his head on a pole at your desk so everyone knows not to fuck with you.ย

I wouldnโ€™t sweat the LinkedIn part frankly. It may be a mild annoyance but itโ€™s amplifying your message which is good. Make sure you use hashtags and tag people etc.ย

Take the list of leads you should get comped for to you manager and outline why these are yours and how you should get credit. Simple fix. If heโ€™s poaching stuff and you get paid, heโ€™ll stay in his lane.

Shit this guy sounds annoying... Short of giving him a glitter bomb, you should absolutely call him out if he pulls it a 3rd time. twice is coincidence but three is a pattern.
Does he does this to other SDRs?

I have called him out for all of the above & he plays dumb.ย

He can't do it to other SDRs because it's only me + him + one other new kid who does SMB.ย  They fired most of our team during a recent merger.ย

10x worse because our territories are massive

Yeah sounds like aggression may be the answer here. Put the fear of god in him. Or, if you're not the violent type, sabotage his shit.ย

I feel for you brother but what have you tried to solve this issue. Have you spoken to your manager to define the territory to avoid such conflicts?ย

I've spoken to my manager about the territory conflict but the LinkedIn plagiarism is next level.ย ย

He does this shit all the time & he's gone too far.ย

He's been at the company a year longer than I have & tried to tell me "I don't understand....." to get me to fill out annoying CRM stuff for his opportunities.ย

Essentially I want blood not resolution lol

Sounds like the kind of guy who will be a dick to someone to feel better about himself.ย
You could always play the long con where you gather TONS of information about his personal life and then construct a series of events that will destroy his life forever all in one fell swoop.ย

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
You should be grabbing credit/getting comped for the meetings he booked in your territory. I'm not sure what the beef is with the LinkedIn stuff?

Ooooh now there's a solution, thank you!ย

Pardon -ย ย

He copied & pasted 2x long, personalized LinkedIn posts I wrote as his own.ย  Like not reposted, didn't rewrite similar content, copied & pasted.

Not trying to be an influencer "he stole my content" bullshit, I just post to get in front of my prospects more.

In a nutshell just added fuel to the fire

I mean, you work together so that gives the content reach. He probably should've shared instead of copying and pasting but that's not a big deal.

The working in your territory stuff is a massive problem.

Enjoyed the reference, since you don't want to go to management which is a respectable choice tbh, I would gather my peers and fellow coworkers who are aware of this situation and who wouldn't want this to happen to them and have a sit down with the guy to let him know these kinda actions aren't cool. You would be ganging up on him but that's the point. Power in numbers.ย
