Literally the most successful person I know personally has been fired. The reality is that attempting to play it safe is just as risky in a way.

Literally the most successful person I know personally has been fired. The reality is that attempting to play it safe is just as risky in a way. Oracle/IBM have routinely laid off entire groups in the past several years. You could work there for 10 years and then it's just "see you later."

The reality is that one place doesn't make your worth. It's not a mark on your character or ability. You just gotta remind yourself of that and keep relationships outside of just one company so that you have options in case something happens.
