Getting out of a slump

What's up Savages,

I'd been crushing it at my current company, within the top 5 on a team of around 24. However, these past couple of weeks have been frustrating to say the least.

Nothing is working, I connect with prospects and they are not the right contact, getting less connects, and to put the cherry on top, I get sick and worked through it last week. I know that also impacted my performance as I was not as positive and energetic as usual when making calls, which I think is crucial.

Anyway, the point is that it's been two weeks in which I've struggled to get anything going, I'm staying the course, keeping my activities high, and for the most part doing all the things that have helped me get great results in the past, just without the results this time.

Would like to hear any advice or personal experience on what has helped you get back on the road to quota and on the sales roll of honor.

Whether it is something to get you back on the right mindset or more objective stuff, would like to hear from y'all.

Make friends with another AE. Ask for their guidance and see if they will let you silently join a few meetings of theirs for training. This helped me when I started out.

Realize that sometimes slumps do happen, and yes, the thing to do is to keep at it and not give up.

Others have mentioned proactive positive steps you can take to see if there's anything you can adjust - those are great ideas in general. It's never a bad idea to see what others are doing that is working. Don't stop learning!

Things that help me when I am in a slump usually are taking a break and going for a long walk and getting a coffee/pastry at my favorite spot.

I am also a big fan of taking a break to read a chapter of whatever book I am on or listening to some music.

Especially if you think you are being negative and not as energetic, I find these things helps me

I have had the same issue, I feel like I am dragging myself through the work day and not putting as much effort into my job that I feel I should be doing. Does anyone have any books or videos that may have helped to boost ones work performance??

Long walk in nature with the dog(s) and meditation are a great reset.

In addition to some of the other good advice offered up; Revisit with past clients, checking in with them and finding ways to provide value to your interactions. This has been a value add move that would not only open new expansion but can also lead to longer relationships and referrals down the line. The key is to be genuine in adding value, and the other benefits become the byproduct.

If you can, focus on each step rather than focus on the outcome of "making a sale".
