Getting past the "no"

What's your best practice of getting past the "no" on a big proposal you were counting on?

Grab a drink?

Take a break?

Scream and/or cry?

Double up on prospecting efforts?

Push back for the yes?

Definitely always do that!

It's strange when you build such a great relationship (our sales process is lengthy) and then when they don't buy, they go awkward and cold. JUST TELL ME WHY! lol

Comfort food. A drink. Proper sleep. And, prepare to get hurt all over again.

Take a breath, go for a walk, then get back to it. We all know it's natural in this industry to have this happen. Let it hurt because that's how you do better next time, but don't let it hurt for long.

Take a break, get some fresh air. Then double down on other prospects and get some wins on the board.

Stay calm and question the no, understand the no...BE THE NO. bring the prospect back to the original need/want and see if you can walk him down the garden path once more. In the meantime, grab a beer and double down on prospecting.

I honestly would go through each stage of the deal. Where did the deviation occur from your perspective of it being the right fit to the "no".

You can ask what happened.

But I'd go back and see where the misstep was.
