how are people sourcing these when they dont come right up from ZI?

Rocketreach Or I’ll take their email and add pdf afterwards. Like “[email protected] pdf” and the search query will show me anything that email is associated with, like a conference attendee list, HOA meeting, signature on their corporate officers IRS quarterly filing or a letter to their congressman from 11 years ago. It’s amazing what adding that does.

I've never added pdf before. Usually I put the email address in quotations on Google. I've found pdf docs, old bids,  association and tradeshow events, and sometimes personal affiliations as well as donations. The power of Google is both amazing and scary.
