upper management are all gong fanboys and are now seriously considering switching over to gong engage as our SEP
anyone here have real work experience using it?

Do it. If they are already using CRM and Gong why have to manage an SEP separately. The name of the game right now is consolidation. In this case it makes sense.
Gong is all about micro-management.

We use gong for our meeting recordings and recently evaluated Engage against Outreach.io, but I don't have any experience with Salesloft.
It looked good but wasn't worth the effort to switch over out 30 users atm. There is some functionality that was lacking so we decided not to move forward. That said, there was also some benefits to it when comparing. Seems like it could be really good in 6-12 months with some further enhancements.
The decision was primarily due to time / effort of making the switch right now. There isn't any real issues with Outreach, we just thought consolidating might be worth looking at.
