Senior B2B Sales Guy.

Gotta get a side hussle.

I'm always on the lookout for a good side hustle, but I've yet to find something that really speaks to me. I have about $150k to invest in something. I'm super-not-handy, so real estate seems like it may not be a great idea, but I really like the idea of owning a few vacation rentals. The stock market is crap right now. Crypto is a great way to go broke.

Anyone have a side hustle that is really killing it?

Primarily income. I'd love to find something that is more of an investment, as opposed to a part-time job. That's where real estate looks attractive again.

Real estate is a good investment. Just understand that if you go the rental route, you’re going to have to know rental law and the absolute headaches renters can bring.

Properties themselves, if you invest wisely, pay off. Just know your market and your region.

Little Book of common sense investing. Start there. Watch the money grow. Easy as that.

If you want to shave off some of that savings for riskier plays, do it, but John Bogle always wins.

I’ve enjoyed taking some mess around money and putting in Prosper, a peer to peer lending market, SMBX a small business loan market and finally Wefunder, a start up investment vehicle. It’s basically the money I would have spent at a casino in semi normal times so it doesn’t affect my mortgage :-)

I've had multiple Primerica people out on LI, and had someone I used to work with try and get me on board. I didn't realize that's why we met up, quickly put an end to that.

The LI outreach killed me as the messaging was geared towards someone unemployed/needing work but I was gainfully employed. Called him out on it.

So many 'VPs' out there. Had a notification that one of the guys in my network just had his 20 year anniversary with them. Can you imagine?!

ah ok i see! my brother in law got SUPER into that. took 1000 and turned it into 40K.....thought it was the thing he would do forever. wanted to quit his job.

then made a bad trade and lost it all. now he never talks about it hahah

Been nibbling as we approach 3,900. Yes, there's volatility but markets been on sale most of the year with the right timeline.

Have you ever read the financial samurai blog?

He's got a ton of good investing ideas and perspectives and alternative assets to consider. Stuff like:

Masterworks - fine art
Fundrise or another real estate investing option....

I'm a fan of his approach but he rubs some people the wrong way.
