Had to bring this question back for the upcoming winter olympics. So again I ask - You have 4 years to train, which event are you choosing to win bronze?

The question is, if you only had four years to train for anyone of these sports to win bronze, which would it be? I know there's not as many to choose from & I feel like winter sports would be harder, but I still have to know what sport everyone is going for.

Here are all of your choices: https://olympics.com/en/sports/winter-olympics

Curling, the us mens team looks like a bunch of dads met in a Home Depot parking lot and decided to do curling on the weekends to get out of chores.

Have you watched ski cross?   Freaking awesome, if they show a lot of the heats.  Or short track speed skating?   Any of the sports where there is the opportunity for chaos and fun, I'm in.

I actually adore the Winter Olympics, but they do always seem to show the same thing over and over.  I get a little tired of snowboards in half pipes.

Yeah that's a very valid point. I'll give it another whirl.

I'm seriously hoping for more ski/snow cross coverage this time.  Last time I missed all of it, and that sucked the life out of the Olympics for me.  Also, with no Apolo Ohno, I guess Americans no longer care about short track speed skating, which is a gas to watch.   I also love figure skating.  The US have some decent women who will be fun to watch, but there are some Russians who are unbelievable.   Heck, I'll even watch dudes snowboarding and killing their knees skiing on moguls.

Yes I'm here for it! I always like watching gymnastics in the summer olympics so I feel like figure skating is a good  trade off for that. And then of course snowboarding, can't miss Shaun White's last olympics

The more metal, higher chance of death version of the Olympics is what I am here for.

It's so much better when you realize everything involves sliding -skiing, skating, curling. Everything is best sliders competition. Try taking a look at non-USA Olympic feeds, they tend to overlook other athletes stories. There are some kids on the halfpipe team for skiing that I taught when I was young. There are some amazing things happening.

Slalom. I competed when I was much younger, it’s probably the one I have the most pre-existing experience with

GS? What geo region, if your nearing your 40s like me - we probably raced when we were young. PNW/Cdn Rockies mostly for me

"at least it's not silver" - way better IMO.

Gold or Bronze. Silver is the real loser.

If you could somehow make a hockey team then just sit on the bench that could get you to a bronze.

Otherwise it's gotta be curling

I personally am going for bobsled! I know there's much more that goes into it than I think, but this would probably be my best shot

Bobsleigh is terrifying. My partner did two-man bobsleigh for a little while. 100mph on ice in a ~400lb steel sled 😱

Yowza.  I only did a ride on the track in Park City.   I'm glad I did it, but no need to do it again.   My brain took a beating.  Mild, but I felt it.

I swam in college, went to OT, so I think it might be the most similar training wise.

Ive been skiing since I was 2 and used to race when i was younger but said fuck it cuz I hated running gates 5 days a week. BUT I have experience and still ski a ton so I think if i trained daily 4 days a week I could metal  (I may or may not have a ton of irrational confidence when skiing)
