I always call back, "Hey entitled OM, sorry I think we got disconnected there. As I was saying..."

I will do this as many times as they hang up on me. Record is 5 in a row.

sometimes they'll say "no i hung up on you!" and you ask "why". you might be able to help pad your connected time numbers if you're already pacing towards quota

Oof wow - someone hung up as soon as I said my name. Then they said that I should take the hint that they don't want to be contacted.

You're going to get that a lot with these call backs. The motivation is to annoy them a bit more for having hung up on you.

Call back, leave a voicemail, then immediately follow up with an email stating clear next steps.

It really depends - and mostly it just depends on how I'm feeling at the moment.

I might just let it go. Which is probably the right thing to do 99.99% of the time.

But if I have had a bad day, I won't let it go. I will make their life hell for a day.

First - stalk them on FB. See if you can figure out some personal stuff to mess with them on.

Next - stalk them on LI. See if you can get a personal AND corp email. Get an corporate address as well.

Then - start subscribing them to every thing you can think of. Something NSFW will eventually get through and plague them for years.

If the offender if particularly deserving, and you think they own a home, look them up in their county's property records (its public information). Start having deliveries made to their home address. Address it to their spouse or kids (again - all public info). Or to a fictitious boy/girlfriend - Nothing like a personalized note from Victoria Secret sent to some dude's girlfriend when he's really married. Oops!

I wouldn't suggest doing any of this, but if the mood hits...

oh I FOR SURE take the "oh I think we got disconnected my bad, I was saying...." and DARE them to hang up on me 2x in a row.

Sometimes ppl will say "no i just hung up on you"

then you pause for ONE second, enough for it to be a little awkward, and just say

"oh.....well thats not very kind. are you having a bad day?"

NOW you are in a therapy session and can send them an invoice. BOOM!

I used to never send an email, but one time someone actually got disconnected and was interested. He added me on LinkedIn and set a time. Now I just sent one email, usually acknowledge they might not want to talk but just to be sure
