Hardware / One Time Comp Plan

Looking for some guidance on how to best approach a hardware, one tine, transactional comp plan.

I have recently come to manage a team and product line that is solely hardware. I have deep experience in SaaS, but I am at a loss of how to best approach this.

Right now, it is weighted based off gross revenue per unit and the team has to dig out of a fixed revenue floor each month until they are compensated Basically, they have to "pay for their position" each month before making any money.

This also rolls over, so if you are building your book, this can become next to impossible to dig out of.

Im sure there are others that have been through this before in a similar vertical so although I have nothing, I would reach out to a rev ops manager at a similar company and see how they build their comp plan. Should at least give you a starting place

Are you looking for advice on how to change the comp plan, or how to take advantage of it.

If it's the former it sounds like any changes would be improvements. If it's the latter... good luck?

Working through some ideas. I have a few that I am leaning toward, but wanted to get some thoughts from the group on here if there may be things I should consider.ย

I have a couple of Corp's shirts from his website that run a little small for the ladies. Maybe size up and shrink it if you need to
