Managed an inside sales team early on in my sales career. Given my sales record, I was promoted to manage the companies first 'High Revenue' sales team, mostly comprised of tenured reps. Was in the role for a few months until they decided to hand that team to a more tenured manager and have me manage basically a team straight out of training. The transition didn't go well, but I learned a lot both personally and professionally and am super happy in the role I'm in now as a result of my previous stumble. Ask some questions or tell me what you've learned from failure in your career.
Has anyone ever failed in a sales leadership position (I have)? What did you learn from your failures?
