Hawaii is the most overrated Club / Winners Circle location on the planet! Prove me wrong.

Aloha Sales Savages

EMEA based rep, hot take on Hawaii as a club / Winners circle location - its too far to travel for a company shindig and basically the Balearic Islands without Ibiza but much much further away and better marketing!

I'm very fortunate to have travelled to a lot of countries and regions in my time and Hawaii was by far the single most disappointing and overrated location. Yes the scenery is nice but its a complete tourist trap, the hotels are generic and plentiful, they've basically paved over Oahu and Maui was only slightly better.

A bit of originality like Botswana or Philippines would be a welcome change!

Having been, I kind of agree. But it's an exotic location that is 100% American so "safe" and fully fits the expectations of the American tourist, with no risks for the American company.
It's that or Cancun ;)

A previous employer of mine had to change the planned the trip to Morocco, as some people were scared ans complained....

I agree with this take. There are way cooler/less touristy spots than Hawaii if youโ€™re looking for somewhere tropical. Itโ€™s kind of a lame and lazy excuse for a vacation spot.

Iโ€™d rather go to Hawaii and get all of the Cancun experience without the newspaper in my cab with a decapitated body on the front page and my cabby telling me about his Dia de la Muerte religion. Sign me up for Hawaii.

So no original ideas outside of that? Not even Aspen or French Riviera? Just happy to stay within the US?ย

Greece would be cool.. well pre covid I guess. Traveling has lost a lot of its appeal to me since it's gotten so restrictiveย

I'm not going to pass up a free trip anywhere, unless it was to Afghanistan or something. I can find fun anywhere.ย

I think itโ€™s the perceived โ€œsafeโ€ bet for organizations (especially larger ones). Itโ€™s US, so less uncontrollables/liabilities, but itโ€™s still paradise.ย

We don't have a presidents club or anything like that so I would be happy to win anything at this point, Hawaii, Florida, Ohio...bring it on haha

I mean itโ€™s a tropical place to get absolutely โ€œsloshedโ€ with your top sales dawgsโ€ฆI donโ€™t see the issue?

I cam into a company that had gone to Rome and Maui the two previous years before I arrive. When I got to president's club my first year eligible they announced the trip was to Miami, bit of a let down.ย
