Head of Biz Dev or Partnerships?

What's the better career move & Why?

For context I'm an AE now at a 30 person startup that's less than two year old. Have the chance to pivot one way or another and take on more responsibility while still closing.

What would you do?

They are the same role. I get introduced by my CEO as the head of BD in one meeting, the global director of alliances in another, VP of partnerships in a third, it all depends on the audience but it is the same role.

Partnerships IMO. There’s no financial commitment from the partners usually so it’s easier to get ink and you still get glorified usually.

If by Biz Dev you mean Head of SDR, then definitely go for Head of Partnerships!
