If you don't have an offer yet, I would operate as if you were not getting a new job.ย

I am trying, but it's very hard to stay motivated. Any suggestions on how to stay on course?ย

I totally understand. Just assume the worst, and use that as motivation. "Do I want to skate by and potentially throw away a couple deals because I'm daydreaming about what could be? What if I mess these deals up and I don't get an offer, what would happen then?" In your case I think fear of underperformance at your current job should motivate you to at least do the bare minimum to not raise any flags. Managers know, as soon as that productivity drops all the signs point to you leaving so don't tip them off until ink is on the paper.ย

It's so hard not to get swept up in the "what if" thought process that you get into when you're interviewing with a new spot. You have to keep the thought at bay because at the end of the day, that job is not paying you and you have an equally solid shot of not getting the job. Good luck, though!

Like you said you are in a great job, you never know if you'll want to go back to it so you have to continue until your last day. I know it's hard to stay motivated but hey what else can you do.

Keep at it until you have a new job. At all cost try to keep your current job safe!ย

everything you sign before leaving is an extra. So you can be a bit more hot or loss. See it as an opportunity to be a bit more aggressive or try some a/b testing with stuff.ย

Got to crack on as you donโ€™t have an offer yet.ย

thatโ€™s like spending commission before a deal has closed, brother.ย

good luck with the interviews though!

I echo what the others have said. Don't bank on getting the offer. Keep doing your best to make sure you don't end up in a worse position if you don't get the role.

Why won't you get any credit from your closed deals? Do you need to close a certain $ before getting paid out or something like that?

The way it's set up, if I leave before mid next month - I won't get anythingย

ughh the worst kind of commission plan. I'm still risk adverse so I would keep on keeping on but I totally get how unmotivating that is...I almost want you to just say F it and coast haha

Have been there as well. Ultimately, your career and your happiness is more important then a single closed won deal and minor commish check.
