Help a friend out - Prospective Enterprise AE role

My questions from my friend who is still on the waitlist to get in to Bravado:

Should he entertain this job spec?

What questions should he ask?

Any red flags?

I stopped reading after the first bullet...we're still doing this?

"A four-year degree from a top university with a GPA of 3.2 or higher is required"

Beyond that, the need for 1-2 years experience, but you graduated in the past 5 years...and you've sold to both private and public sector companies. So you want someone with 10 years of experience in the past 5 years? Miss me.

Preach. Sounds like they have one unicorn in mind for this job and wrote this description specifically tailored to them LOL. Good luck.

Seriously, who give af about GPA? Did you put yourself in thousands of dollars of debt to make yourself moderately more attractive of a candidate for this dumb job or not?

Agreed, hard DQ on any thing mentioning college.

To me this means leadership sucks and chooses the easiest quantifiable metric to determine success. GPA is a lazy metric.

Right, like outright age discrimination in the posting.

Im always a bit wary of an enterprise role that has no SDR support. Would be curious to hear why that is.

Is the 150k split 75/75 or is that base?

With this spec, I'd hope that's base.

Ya I dont think thats the case based on how its written.

I also just dont think this is an enterprise role. Its looks like MM/commercial but its a startup trying to attract talent so they throw and ENT title on it.

The more I read this job description the more I laugh. Beyond all of the issues others have pointed out here 2 things stick out.

1) What the fuck is an offensive cyber security company
2) They are looking for a top performing recent college grad that has c suite experience and has been a leader and manager. If your friend fits this description send him my way cuz that is the definition of a unicorn.

Idk what they are expecting from this role but Ive been in sales long enough to know this is a wild ask from whoever this company is.

FWIW Harvard Business School stopped doing grades for this very reason. They want people to get interviewed and have hiring decisions based on the candidates’ personalities, rather than an arbitrary GPA.

You can have the best booksmarts in the world - but that doesn’t mean you’re going to be perfect for every role.

Sounds like an offshore company that copy-pasted job boards of other companies for this position. Also, "recently named one of Fast Company’s 50 ‘World’s Most Innovative Companies 2018’," -- 2018 was 3 years ago...

"College graduation in the last 5 years"

Nice to see companies spreading that sweet sweet ageism love to all age groups! Don't even THINK of applying here if you're anywhere CLOSE to 25+. #culture #we'retotallyinclusive

Soooo many things to say, but I’ll keep it short. "ToP uNivErSiTy with a GPA 3.2" LMAO they are looking at the wrong crowd right there. Looks more like an investment banking or consultant job description…

This is a terrible job description, that being said - being a full cycle AE ain’t easy; as your constantly being pulled in different directions. Make sure your mentally prepared for that snd a time management machine
