HELP! New sales org commission plan - Company Going public...

Hey Sales Gurus...

Needed some tips/advice...

I'm currently talking to a company that is about to go public in the next 90 days about a sales role they are recruiting me for.

One of their biggest competitors just reached out to have initial talks too...

I have a decent "IN" with the company that is about to go public in an old co worker that is leading the way to get me there from the inside. (

They are coming in with a solid base + commission package and stock offering.

(First time for me going to an org that is going through public offering...)

Do I pin the two orgs against each other to get the absolute best package?

Ethical? Unethical?

Do I ask for more stock?

What have others done in similar positions?

Thanks!

Woah, definitely seems like you’re in a winning position here nonetheless. I’d love to hear how this goes down anyway. All the best :)

Yeah- great position to be in. I'm not an expert but I'd want to make sure I understand how the stocks will vest if at all in the one company going public... that might be a risk where you wont have any vested before the event.

If I'm totally off here and your options are still yours after the event ignore me- just something I'd want clarity on.
