Help! Should I start looking for another job?

I have nothing to do at my job anymore - we cant listen to calls, there is no data and no dashboards to analyse, coaching is now done via a tool that sends you videos and articles and all sales playbooks are now standard so no more creativity and out of the box thinking.

Every time we bring a topic on the table to our leadership it becomes a managing objections session rather than a conversation.

What would you do?

Is it time to forrest gump?

Dude I'm of the mindset that if stuff like that starts happening to make you consider leaving, it's time to look elsewhere. Unless you're making a shit ton of money, if you don't enjoy it and you're no longer growing in your career, forrest jump onto the next gigย

I am making good money, but I can do that selling my body too lol. The problem is what if they notice I'm no longer necessary before I make a move?ย

I mean it sounds like you're hitting goals even though they're not giving you many resources to support you so that may be a ways out since you're still making them money. It def couldn't hurt to throw some feelers out there

100% all of my accounts hit goal and crushed Q2 - but now, I feel a bit useless if you ask me. Thats the true problem.

It just did, random things in life.ย  But no in all honestly its good intentions with poor execution and lack of experience. Also we allowed it to happen - the "I must continue to get paid" way.

Wtf ๐Ÿ˜‚ I have so many questions.

Who thought this was a good idea? Do you even have Managers or Directors anymore? Why can't you listen to calls or see data? Is the company trying to hide something? Has the company been doing well/is it set to succeed in the future?

This seems very skeptical to me. ๐Ÿšฉ Depending on all of the answers to the above questions, I'd probably start looking for another role...

A new person that recently came unto power thought it was a good idea. We are trying to save $ on tech so we have limited visibility on calls or data. The company is not trying to hide anything, they're just "trying to figure it out" and give "instructions". It was doing well, nope its not set to succeed, they are freestyling with hope.

"Hope is not a strategy" is what my previous VP of Sales used to always tell us. Yikes, yeah start looking around.

Do they not have a background in sales?ย  I've seen this happen when a non-sales person starts managing the sales team and ducks everything up.ย ย

Idk man, without dashboards and while my team is still crushing goals - it may take some time lol. But, they may say hey we've downsized, this senior listens and follows orders, this senior is a leader and likes to do things that work. I think the latter should be fired, we dont like things that work, we like when people follow instructions. Management may as well be done by Siri haha.

It depends on the demands. Can I crush quota and bring revenue yes, can I follow unthorough ideas, yes... will it help us crush quota - no... so if we lose revenue can they maintain how much Im paid to follow bad ideas...idk about that one.

Having leadership with no sales background can be terrible for morale as well as sales.ย  They don't know how to properly manage and motivate the team.ย  A huge disconnect.ย  I know from experience :(
