Help with an interview project!

Alright everyone, here’s the scenario. I’m supposed to write a mock cold email to the CTO of a Fortune 500 company with the goal of booking a 30 minute meeting. The company I work for is a saas start up and we’ve never engaged with this hypothetical prospect or company before. You can make up value props for your company, assumptions of the prospective company, and commonalities with the prospect What cold email are you sending to book the hypothetical meeting and get the real life job?

This project provides too many variables in my opinion...why don't you start by making up your company and what you sell. That's a better brainstorm activity.

+1. Narrow down a lot of things and then you can write a focused email

depending on how approachable the hiring manager is, I would honestly ask for more specifics (ask them what are their top 3 targeted accounts for the upcoming quarter) then you're able to do some more research and actually show how this would apply to them, also once you can actually put a name to a prospect you are reaching out to; makes the research process waaaaay easier all while showing initiative to hopefully your new employer to show how you'd go after those accounts

Is there any possible way that booking a meeting is not the goal? Since asking for interest instead of asking for time is all the rage these days?

I ended up asking if they were interested in discussing  instead of asking for time and made it to the next round! You were spot on.

I always track people down by the G2 reviews they leave. You have to do some digging to track down the right person, but it's possible and if you do it's a good lead
