@ouroborusย Average deal size would be $5000 in MRR and I'd see 10% of that. Doing about 6-8 per month on the lowend $3,000 per month in commission so roughly five months to break even from the base difference.ย  ย

I'd go the way of the better product 100%. Assuming you'd be taking a leadership role (based off current title) your team will be more consistent and after a track record of success (good product helps a lot with this) you'll be in a spot to negotiate past the initial pay discrepancy
