Hired as SAE promised more

I've specialized in scale up stage tech companies as an SAE and Director.  Hired on with sales title but already in a revops and director role day today day.  Quota carrying but 90% of my time re-building the tech stack,  training tools etc.  Do I push for the title now?  I'm 4 weeks in and made my leadership impact.  Worried about comp and losing all this actual selling time.

I'd be more concerned with pay than title. You're doing VP level work for an ic salary. Plus spending cycles on non revenue generating activities. Pick a lane

i would compile the list of current tasks/responsibilities you are covering, and the time dedicated to it.

then figure out what YOU want to do more of.

IC? ReVops? Director?

then go to your leadership and make a case for where you think you will make the biggest impact and ask for their input.

you could ask for a title adjustment to sake of clarity and alignment.....but i would be most concerned around comp. titles at early stage companies dont mean as much,

Stop doing the extra work without the extra pay.

block your VP's calendar and discuss. today you're questioning the title, tomorrow you'd be questioning your self worth. just block his/her calendar and have this discussion sooner than later.

They call me Daddy, Sales Daddy
I’d have a talk with my mngt about role, title, and responsibilities to make sure we’re all in the same page.

Sounds like they’re trying to have you do 2 roles in 1 and really shouldn’t be that way. They probably need to hire either a revops person or an AE to sell. Quite literally impossible to be both. Or be any good at both at the same time unless you’re a miracle worker
