Holding Prospects Accountable

Hey All Fellow Savages,


When working with a lot of prospects lately, I have run into trouble getting commitment on a mutual action plan with my potential clients. We have very strong use case and are a market leader but opportunities stale out frequently What are some things you all are doing to hold your prospect accountable to timelines?

When push comes to shove, champions drive deals.  All of the sales coaching concepts like "mutual action plans" are waste of time if you don't have an internal champion at the prospect driving internal conversations forward deals will move slow. Champion should be someone you are on text message level with.

Well what works for me is asking the prospect to write an MOM on the 2nd call. That way they are more accountable than me.

How do you all handle a situation where a prospect has a contract approved and is ready for signature, but one of their family members just passed away? Want to be extremely sensitive to the situation...feel there's never a "right" time to reach out and never want to be salesy...
