I have 3 kids and a wife. It's 10% of the cost to drive than it is to fly, especially during the holidays.

No traveling for either of the holidays. If the rents or the in-laws want to see us they can fly to us. It is a 21-22 hour car ride with 2 small kiddos and so a nice relaxing holidays.

That is exactly what we have been doing. Did it our oldest 1st Christmas and it was a shit show, so moving forward we are doing it at our house and they can come if they want.

I’ve got family all over the damn country and since someone is always mad that they didn’t make the rotation we stopped traveling.

On top of that the last time I traveled the day after TG we got stuck on the tarmac for 6 hours with 2 kids under 4 because of a damn snow storm.

Now my holidays entail succulent meats and fine bourbons from the comfort of my favorite leather chair.
