How are you changing your pitch to sell in a recession???

I don't care if you think we are in a recession or not OR if you think we will be going into recession or not... for this post.... ASSUME we are in a recession, or we will be going into one.....

How have you changed your pitch to reflect that? I have been making my pitch more revenue focus instead of pain focus..... what have you done???

The solution is sell is still in high demand, the main thing is showing ROI on deploying the tool versus keeping a bunch of people on staff. โ€œYouโ€™re making cuts to this department but still need the output.โ€ย

Don't pitch... ask questions to find the pain, spread that gap and help them understand how it effects them, and provide a solution that makes sense.ย  Recession or not, it works.

My industry, or at least my niche section of it, won't likely be all that affected. If anything, what would normally be one huge purchase will just start getting broken up into a few smaller 6 figure purchases. I can live with that.

As a premium product with a higher ticket cost - I think focusing on reducing hours of work with our solution will speak to companies that may be reducing personel.ย

My customer's NEED my product in more than one way. Recession would impact this both positively and negatively, but I don't see it hurting my ability to close.

Donโ€™t pitch. Nobody wants to be sold to. Rather, know your ICP and focus there. The strategy is virtually recession proof as theyโ€™ll want / need your solution no matter what.
