Most companies have a referral program where the referrer makes $500-$2000+ for referring someone to a job.Β

Most referrals get taken more seriously than cold applicants.Β

Most companies have someone who is willing to refer you for said bonus.Β

Find those people, reach out to them and get your foot in the door and make a new friend.Β

Great idea. You are currently a head of growth. Anyone ever catch your attention from direct outreach to you?Β

At my last company, yes. I was hiring SDRs so if you could SDR me into hiring you, it was a good sign.Β

Second finding a referral at the company. I've had strangers reach out to me on LinkedIn to get an in. They asked if I would be willing to chat with them about the company, I always say yes, and have a 20-30 minute convo with them telling them more about the company, answering any questions they may have and then obviously getting to know them as well. If they seem like somewhat of a relevant fit I always refer them in and let the recruiters/HM do the rest.

Yup. It’s a very underused technique. If I was applying to jobs today, it’s all I would do.Β
