You got all the right answers. Ima answer too, I always found “1 more dial before lunch, or 9 more before I go home” to be a setup for failure. I could never make those goals when I was counting activity. When I flipped to an “inactivity standard” or “fuck around” factor I didn’t need to count anything. I would not let myself spend more than 120 minutes eating lunch, chasing the receptionist, smoking outside, doing blow in the bathroom. It worked just fine.

I appreciate the feedback. I’m working with a great medical diagnostic co and there’s a lot of very smart ppl except for the inside sales world where they seem to have unrealistic expectations. I mean I come from a world of amazing tech to streamline the process but these guys are afraid to have everything talk to each other and I have to work in 3-4 different systems everyday so I wanted to be able to share some real insight with them. You guys are the best.
