How do I convince West Coast US companies to hire Canadian sales talent to lead Western markets ? The border is imaginary and the business culture across the West is very similar.

First of all, do they offer relocation? It's not that easy to just hire talent outside of the US due to immigration, esp. if you're not a current employee of the company. They have to prove that they cannot find anyone else to fill the role.
Im with trinity here it has nothing to do about your skills and talent only country immigration regulations and labor laws
The Canadian entity of the company can hire the sales leader and assign the Western region with team members in the West. Very common with multinationals. No relocation needed. Geography is history, especially after the pandemic.
