In sales I talk about the money I'm leaving on the table for future commissions (or ones already sold). Works a gokd amount of the time

@Coffeesforclosers is spot on. If you’re missing out on $___k worth of commissions by jumping early to help your new company out by staring ASAP, it’s worth mentioning and used as a negotiation point.

Coffee and MMM are on target.

The only person who has ever asked for a sign on bonus when we were prepared to make an offer - we gave it to him. He showed us actual deals (client info redacted) that were out for signature and/or pending approval from legal. We weren't allowed to call it a "sign on bonus" because of compliance nerds, so we wrote in a "diminishing stipend" paid out over the first 5 pay periods.

you don't.  you ask for a 3 month non-recoverable drawer against plan.

you don't.  you ask for a 3 month non-recoverable drawer against plan.

then, you make sure your first few deals come in during month 4.

that's how you take a clean job hop.  i love this move.

the non-recoverable SaaS drawer is all part of the negotiation.

I think in a lot of places the SDR/AE relationship is pretty gross (and toxic). This 'master/servant" vibe that some folks have going on really doesn't jive with me.
