How do you find the time to work?

WFH, no travel, calls all day...I struggle to find time to actually do work.

I'm spending far too much time on internal calls.

Looking for productivity and operational recommendations.

Combo of 1 and 2. Sometimes you can get out of an internal call if you have a client meeting scheduled.ย

I have a morning block and lunchtime block - one for grinding through work and the other for a long walk with my doggos. I will break the morning block for a customer meeting; I will not break it for internal BS. My dog walks are sacred.

I've also got blocked time where I accept internal meetings. Most of my Monday is internal, and then my Thursday afternoons I leave space for internal meetings. Keeping them in 2 big blocks has been essential for my sanity. If those blocks are full and it's not going to get a deal closed for me, your call can wait until next week.

I like the idea of certain days having blocks of time.
My morning walks were once sacred...I tried to block time at the beginning and end of each day...I need to be more strict in enforcing the blocks.

I try and push back on too many internal calls. Luckily our leadership isn't crazy. I've heard horror stories from other companies where that's all you do (Salesforce.. cough cough).

I block time for outbound prospecting and following up on calls I had

Pretty sacred, If I can't get to prospecting or cold calling then so be it but I try and stick to my calendar.ย
