How do you go about scoring warm leads?

I've been using LI to comment on the prospect's post and make them warmer before I hit them with a DM. Referrals are the other things that I do. What are the other things?

What do they like? Do a bit of social media stalking and you can find out a surprising amount of information. Find something you have in common, chat them up about it.ย 

Also, find a way to give them value that doesnโ€™t involve your product or any spending on their part (time, energy or money).ย
